The Result of Boredom on My Day Off

February is the month of love, right? So why not reflect upon your significant other by answering these questions.

1. What is your husbands name? Brandon Michael Anderson
2. How long have you guys been married? 1 year, 1 month, and 6 days!
3. How long did you date? We dated for 8 months before getting engaged!
4. How old is he? 26
5. Who is taller? If I were taller, we would not be married!! He's 6'0'' and I'm 5'6"
6. Who is smarter? Ya know....that's a good question. We both did well in school, but we're also both very disciplined with studying. I'd say we're about the same...?
7. Who does laundry? Whoever has time!
8. Who pays the bills? BRANDON! I just asked him 3 days ago what bills we actually pay. He takes care of all that!
9. Who does the grocery shopping? Usually I do, but occasionally he'll come along with me cause I hate doing it alone. It goes by so much quicker with two people looking for the best deals rather than just one.
10. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Brandon sleeps on whichever side is closest to the door so he can quickly jump up and dominate any robber, serial killer, or rapist with the hammer that is conveniently placed on the floor next to him every night.
11.Who eats more sweets? Brandon all the way! He goes grocery shopping and comes home with nothing but junk food! He can't live without his sweets! I'm still in the process of training this boy.
12. Who cleans? We both do. I probably do more, but he is a SERIOUS neat freak, which I love! No training needed there.
13. Who cooks dinner? I do. Sometimes I make him help me though.
14. What do you like to do together? We definitely have our nightly shows we watch together: The Bachelor (monday night) American Idol along with Biggest Loser (when AI goes to commercial) on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, The Office (Thursday nights) eating dinner together, movies of course, going to Jazz games, playing games, going to waterparks, working out if there's a gym where he can play basketball while I run around the track, hanging out with friends, and traveling!!
15. What are his hobbies? basketball, soccer, football, snowboarding, art, planning vacations, and finding random adventures.
16. Who drives? Brandon
17. Who kissed who first? Brandon. I would NEVER be the first to kiss a guy.
18. What does he do that surprises you? He surprised me on our 100 day anniversary by giving me a cute card, flowers, and planning a date. He also surprised me last summer planning a weekend getaway were we stayed at the Marriott Hotel in SLC, went to a REAL Salt Lake game, then to 7 peaks the next day, then to the Bee's game that night. He wouldn't even tell me where we were staying until we were in the car headed to SLC. It was such a fun weekend!
19. What's your favorite feature about him? Probably his smile. I just love it!
20. What's a hidden talent that he has? He can sing pretty well. He's also the most responsible person I've ever met and that's something I didn't know until we were married.
21. What's your favorite quality about him? There's so many it's hard to pick a favorite. I love his sense of humor, his work-ethic, his sensitivity, his commitment to things, his willingness to step out of his comfort zone, and his Christ-like behavior. He makes me want to be better and do better in everything!
22. Who has more friends? He has more friends that he's stayed in touch with. The closeness I had with mine all kind of dwindled away when I got home from my mission and they were all married and having kids.
23. Who does the dishes? We both do.
24. Whose parents do you see more often? We see both our parents every other Sunday. Thank goodness for living close!
25. Who asked who out first? Kinda funny...we joke that I did. Sherri Dew was coming to Logan and I wanted to go. Brandon and his friends mocked me. So I was like "Fine, I'll go with someone else." Then I texted him on the day I got the tickets and said, "Looks like I'll be ridin' solo to Sherri Dew" and he responded by saying "Well, if the offer is still up, I'd love to go with you." So....I don't know. What do you think? We both sorta did. He definitely asked me on the 2nd date though!
26. Who wears the pants? Honestly, I don't know. We both do. Is that possible?
27. What is your favorite gift he has given you? His life. :) Good answer huh! My wedding ring comes in at a close second though!

I tag whoever wants to do this. :)

New Years Day!

For New Years Eve we went to Idaho to celebrate with our brother-in-law's family. We stayed up til midnight playing games, and then woke up the next morning to go bowling! The whole bowling alley rented out for the family so we had it all to ourselves. What a fun tradition!

Then we went to chow down on some delicious pizza....

...before going on a slay ride with chlydesdale horses! My camera was being dumb so I only got a picture of Brandon's brother Aaron with the horses.

Thanks Brad and Cassi for inviting us to join in on the fun, family festivities!!

One year Anniversary and Christmas!!!

We did it!!! We have officially made it through our first year of marriage as of Dec. 27! It has seriously been the best year of our lives and we are happier than ever! I am married to the best guy out there and feel pretty darn lucky!

I can't believe that this day was a whole year ago! It has flown by, but it is so much fun to look back on! Here's a little preview of our special day.

For our Anniversary, we headed to Salt Lake to stay in the same hotel room we stayed on our wedding night. Brandon was the one that remembered the room number! Impressed? I sure was! So here's a picture of my hottie husband on our way to SLC.

We went to Happy Sumo for SUSHI!!! HEAVEN!!!

We walked around temple square and relived our wedding day. :)

Then we went back to our hotel and got a little picture happy!

Here's the top of our wedding cake! We seriously looked forward to eating this thing. It is SO GOOD!!! Plus, it has edible sparkles!! Who wouldn't want that? MMMM!!

What's a celebration without some martinelli?

So we ate our delicious cake and sipped on our martinelli's as we sat in our "original" bed and watched our wedding DVD. LOVED IT!!!

We also wrote each other a letter to make the day sorta special. :) That was the best part! I'm still just as crazy about this boy as the day we got married.
And last but not least, we finished our celebration with breakfast at JB's. The morning after our wedding last year, we woke up bright and early and walked (in our pajamas) up the street the JB's. So we did our best to relive everything and it turned out to be so much fun! Love you Brandon!!

CHRISTMAS DAY! And I still can't rotate these dang things!

Brandon was pretty excited about his new camcorder!

And here's our humble, hand-me-down Christmas tree!

To celebrate my sweet nephew Aidan's 2nd Birthday, we got together and made gingerbread houses, something I've wanted to do all year! It didn't turn out quite like I had imagined, but hey, it was my first time!

The day after Christmas we went to see Avatar in 3D with Brandon's family and my parents. Brandon failed to tell me it was 2 hours and 40 minutes long! It was entertaining, but when it was over, I would be lying if I said I was sad.

Hope you guys all had a Merry Christmas!!!

Halloween!!

Sorry about the rotation thing again! This year we were B-O-R-I-N-G for Halloween!!! Not by choice though...well not my MY choice! We did manage to go to a corn maze that WASN'T HAUNTED!! Lame! And I wanted to carve pumpkins but my un-festive husband wasn't so fond of that idea. So luckily I got to dress up for work because otherwise, it would have been a seriously boring halloween! Don't worry...I'll MAKE him dress up next year...something embarrassing to redeem himself from this year! :)

Longest blog in America!!

Ok I know...the rotation thing again. Does anyone have a mac and know how to rotate them in blogspot? Because they're rotated in my computer! Anyway, it's been forever since my last post, so this will update you on the last 2 1/2 months. I promise I'll get better at this blogging stuff. I just need to remember to take my camera places!! This is Brandon and I at a Raptors game in Ogden.

This is in front of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. We got a private tour by Sis. Preston (on the right) who used to live in Illinois where I served a part of my mission. The girl on my other side was my companion and we lived with Sis. Preston (who now lives in Utah) The other girl on the left is a girl we taught and baptized. She came to Utah to visit so we all got together and went through the temple and out to dinner. It was so much fun and good to see these girls again!!!

This is Brandon at drill. It was family day so I got to go see him in action (a little bit). That's him in the blue shirt. Isn't he cute all armied up in his attention stance?

Please disregard the ugliness of my face in this picture. We went to Wyoming for Brandon's family reunion. This picture was taken early in the morning after barely waking up! We went up in the mountains on a fourwheeler kind of thing. I was TERRIFIED that a bear was gonna jump out and eat us both, but fortunately, we both made it back in one piece. :)

Here's Brandon, the favorite uncle at the moment, playing in the pool in Wyoming at our motel with our neices and nephews.

This is at the top of a fresh water spring. It was beautiful up there!!

We went to a rodeo in Tremonton! Brandon's a big fan but I like to cheer when the calves get away and they loosen the belt on the horses and bulls. Poor animals!!

And last but not least...WE FINALLY MOVED!!! We've been staying with my parents for the past three months trying to find jobs in Ogden and a place to live so Brandon could go to Weber State. He's majoring in Technical Sales (which is what all my siblings graduated in) and is loving it so far! Here's some pictures of our new place!! We love being on our own again!!! :) Now all we need are some curtains....hmmm.....mom?

San Diego!!

My parents took a trip with me and Brandon to San Diego last week and we had SO MUCH FUN!! Here's a picture at Knott's Berry Farm with the most exciting ride in the background!

Love this temple!!

We went to Sea World and got to see SHAMU....

And pet the sting rays!

And....I'm sort of crazy about this boy!

Look at the size of this pizza!!!

Brandon is obsessed with In-n-Out so we HAD to stop.

Look at that little smirk...

These are our best smiles! :)

Padres vs. Braves game! Braves won!

And my dad's slight obsession with Donny Osmond forced us to stop in Vegas on the way back to see his show. It actually was WAY good!!!

Hooray for VACATIONS!!!!
